Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (714) - WYNDHAM HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
LUCKY MISSILE began only fairly and then lost ground when crowded for room between INCANTO PREPARED and BIG BANG BONG which got its head up on jumping and shifted in.
BEST FOR YOU lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected.
RIGHT HONOURABLE and HUMBLE STEED were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, BLOOMING SPIRIT raced tight inside INCANTO PREPARED.
After passing the winning post on the first occasion, LASTING FRIENDSHIP was awkwardly placed outside the heels of GO BALLISTIC when racing tight inside STARLIGHT and being steadied to obtain cover behind GO BALLISTIC.
Near the 1500 Metres, HUMBLE STEED got its head up when awkwardly placed behind BEST FOR YOU which was being steadied to obtain cover behind BIG BANG BONG.
Passing the 1100 Metres, LUCKY MISSILE momentarily raced tight inside INCANTO PREPARED which was awkwardly placed inside GO BALLISTIC which shifted in marginally.
Also passing the 1100 Metres, BEST FOR YOU commenced to travel keenly and was shifted out away from the heels of BIG BANG BONG.
BIG BANG BONG had some difficulty obtaining clear running after the 150 Metres and near the 100 Metres was shifted to the inside of COURAGEOUS DRAGON.
After this, BIG BANG BONG raced in restricted room between COURAGEOUS DRAGON and BLOOMING SPIRIT.
Over the concluding stages, GO BALLISTIC was steadied away from the heels of INCANTO PREPARED (V Borges) which shifted in under pressure.
V Borges was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to keep his mounts on a straight course.
Throughout the race, STARLIGHT travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of HUMBLE STEED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
COURAGEOUS DRAGON, LIGHTNING STEED and LUCKY MISSILE were sent for sampling.

Plunged late Lightning Steed was well rated in front leading from a wide gate for a second straight win. He's racing very well over this Valley trip. Lucky Missile closed well along the inside from midfield to finish second. He relished the rise in trip. Incanto Prepared stayed on nicely to fill a placing following a one-off run fore of midfield. He's capable but not reliable. Right Honourable ran on well from behind midfield to just finish out of the placings. He relished a return to Class Four but needs a faster pace. Favourite Courageous Dragon was given every chance in the box-seat but only plodded when asked for an effort. He was not a worthy favourite after a similar type performance last start. Go Ballistic was yielding ground over the last 150m after working hard to track the leader 950m out from a wide gate. He's better ridden patiently. Big Bang Bong was coming on late from near the back but the pace of the race played against him.
