Recap by phillip woo
Beauty Happy was too good after getting his own way in front from gate one to make it back-to-back wins. He's really come into his own and could get away with another in the grade before season's end. Favourite Vincy ran on well along the inside from last to grab second 100m out. It was a good effort in a paceless race. Golden Spectrum gradually faded after stalking the leader. It was a solid run carrying top weight. Clement Legend got up to fill the frame after settling midfield following a slow start. He likes this trip but is clearly on his mark. Punted late Methane ran on well after travelling one off the fence worse than midfield. He didn't disgrace up in grade over a much longer trip. Blastoise was a non-factor after surprisingly settling second last in a race run to suit those in front. Magnetism didn't get the trip after a dream run. Same can be said for the late-punted Tangmere who enjoyed a perfect trip one-out, one-back.
