Recap by phillip woo
In a fairy-tale start to Jerry Chau Chun-lok's riding career, he was able to boot Relentless Me home in the last strides despite losing his whip 200m out following a box-seat run. Relentless Me has really blossomed under rookie trainer Douglas Whyte this season for a fourth win from eight starts. Stanley Park did everything right but get the win after still finding himself two lengths in front at the 200m. He appears to be coming to hand after waking up with a better effort last month at his fourth start. Wind N Grass came from last and widest out to finish a close third. Marvel Dragon stayed well following a midfield run on the fence to just miss a placing. Fantasy was already a beaten runner when buffeted about late following a one-off run in midfield. The big weight took its toll after winning two prior starts. California Levee got tired in the concluding stages after stalking the leader one off the fence. He's still adjusting to local racing.
