California Rad kept on gamely after working hard to lead from gate 10 and with pressure to his outside from Golden Dash to make it two on the trot and first in the grade. Ping Hai Galaxy finished well to grab second after making his run fourth from the back. He's mixing his form but is capable of big runs. Favourite Island Shine ran on steadily to fill a placing without menacing the Quinella pair after a rail run in midfield. It wasn't a bad run carrying more weight following a last-start win. Punted late Golden Dash stayed on well after attacking the speed from the widest gate. He's run well in defeat in back-to-back runs following an injury and will be scoring shortly. Both the late-plunged Total Power and Home Made produced a good burst late down the outside from the back of the field to go close without menacing. They'll both need to be kept safe with Class Four looming large. Whiskey Neat just held his ground after a midfield run. He's still acclimatising.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (639) - CELOSIA HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters

SUPERB DADDY began only fairly.

WHISKEY NEAT shifted out at the start and bumped GOOD BEAUTY which became unbalanced and shifted out away from WHISKEY NEAT, resulting in ZHAN JIANG ROCKS losing ground when crowded for room.

HOME MADE, PING HAI GALAXY and TOTAL POWER were all steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.

Near the 600 Metres, SUPERB DADDY was steadied away from the heels of GOOD BEAUTY (V Borges) which shifted in when not properly clear.

V Borges was advised to exercise more care.

Near the 150 Metres, GOLDEN DASH raced tight outside the hindquarters of CALIFORNIA RAD which shifted out.

Passing the 150 Metres, ZHAN JIANG ROCKS raced tight outside TOTAL POWER which shifted to the outside of SUPERB DADDY to obtain clear running.

Passing the 75 Metres, WHISKEY NEAT was shifted in away from the heels of GOLDEN DASH.

A veterinary inspection of GOOD BEAUTY, AMAZING KIWI and WINNING FEELING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

ISLAND SHINE, CALIFORNIA RAD and PING HAI GALAXY were sent for sampling.
