Recap by phillip woo
Well-backed late Southern Legend won a thrilling battle after dashing well from midfield to tackle Beauty Generation at the 200m. He's improved immensely in his past two starts following stints across the border in Conghua. Raging favourite Beauty Generation put up a brave front after going for home on top from Ka Ying Star 350m out and just lost out in a ding-dong finish. It was another fine effort by the champ. Waikuku got up for third without menacing the top pair following a patient ride second from the rear. It was a better run after a flat performance last time out. Rattan ran on from just worse than midfield to fill the frame but without ever looking a threat. He's still too high in the ratings. More Than This came from last to pick up a cheque. He requires a faster pace. It was a disappointing effort by Ka Ying Star who was stopping 100m out despite getting his own way in front.
