Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Enzemble kept on gamely after dashing to the front 300m out travelling one off better than midfield for a first win at his 10th start. Blastoise closed off well from behind midfield to finish a close second. It was another genuine effort despite stepping out on a rating high following a last-start win. Charity Go kept plugging away to finish a distant third after a one-out, one-back run. Super Elegance just failed to get up for a placing after being held up for a run until the 150m following a midfield run on the fence. He's a winner wating to happen. Naboo Star was threatening to pounce mid-stretch after a patient ride third from the rear but couldn't get out of a pocket behind the winner with the runner-up to his outside. Champion Supreme ran on without menacing after making his run towards the rear. The big weight anchored him. Plunged late God Of Dragon was yielding ground approaching the 100m tracking the genuine pace of Thunder Stomp.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (570) - JORDAN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1800Meters

NABOO STAR began awkwardly.

VINCY and BEAUTY HAPPY were crowded for room on jumping between CHARITY GO and GOD OF DRAGON, both of which shifted ground.

After this, both VINCY and BEAUTY HAPPY were steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.

CHAMPION SUPREME began only fairly.

SUPER ELEGANCE had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and passing the 200 Metres was steadied away from the heels of CHARITY GO which shifted in marginally.

Passing the 200 Metres, NABOO STAR, which had been experiencing difficulty obtaining clear running, attempted to improve into a tight run which momentarily developed between ENZEMBLE and BLASTOISE.

NABOO STAR was then steadied when disappointed for running as a result of BLASTOISE shifting in marginally under pressure and ENZEMBLE shifting out.

NABOO STAR was directed to the outside of BLASTOISE passing the 100 Metres to improve.

CHAMPION SUPREME lost its left front plate after the race.

When questioned, K C Leung stated that at its last start when racing back in the field, CHARITY GO travelled keenly and would not settle when the race was not run at a good tempo.

He said it was felt that in today's race there were few speed horses engaged and therefore it was anticipated that the race would again lack tempo.

He said therefore he was asked to ride CHARITY GO positively in the early stages and obtain a prominent position as it was believed that it would not be in the horse's best interests if it were to race back in the field in a slowly run race.

A veterinary inspection of GOD OF DRAGON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

ENZEMBLE and BLASTOISE were sent for sampling.
