Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (447) - YIK YAM HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
PERFECT TO PLAY was slow to begin and then shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of ENJOY LIFE which shifted out.
BULB ELITE shifted in at the start and bumped the hindquarters of HARRIER JET which stumbled on jumping.
This resulted in BULB ELITE becoming unbalanced and losing ground.
From wide barriers, NITRO EXPRESS and LET'S TAKE IT EASY were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Approaching the 1200 Metres, BLOOMING SPIRIT, which was being steadied to obtain cover, was momentarily steadied away from the heels of HARRIER JET which shifted in.
DIAMOND LEGEND travelled wide and without cover until after the 900 Metres at which stage LET'S TAKE IT EASY was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 500 Metres, TUNG WAH GLORY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ENJOY LIFE when unable to proceed between that horse and LET'S TAKE IT EASY.
In this incident, TUNG WAH GLORY and LET'S TAKE IT EASY bumped, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.
In the early part of the Straight, ENJOY LIFE and LET'S TAKE IT EASY raced tight.
ENJOY LIFE then had some difficulty obtaining clear running when attempting to improve into a tight run between LET'S TAKE IT EASY and BULB ELITE.
Then passing the 150 Metres, ENJOY LIFE was steadied when disappointed for running between LET'S TAKE IT EASY and BULB ELITE which raced tight outside SUNNY POWER.
SUNNY POWER had some difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 200 Metres.
Over the final 200 Metres, DOR DOR was unable to obtain clear running and consequently was not tested.
PERFECT TO PLAY had some difficulty obtaining clear running until passing the 150 Metres.
DOR DOR, SUNNY POWER and BULB ELITE were sent for sampling.

In a thriller, late-plunged Sunny Power had to await a run but luck finally came his way when a gap opened 150m out following a midfield run on the fence to grab victory 30m out in his initial Valley run. Well-backed Bulb Elite dashed nicely from behind midfield to snare the Quinella spot. He's racing very well following a step up to the 1,650m. Blooming Spirit ended level for third after poking his head in front 150m out following a oneout, one-back run. It was a solid effort following a Class Five win. Let's Take It Easy closed well to finish level for third after a deep run without cover fifth from the rear. Tung Wah Glory ran on well after a patient ride fourth from the rear to just miss a placing. He's naturally coming to hand in his three starts. Perfect To Play found a few too smart but did make headway after making his run third from the back following a slow start. Happy Warrior lost a placing late after working hard to sit outside the leader 900m out.
