Recap by phillip woo

Firming favourite Ares got up approaching the 50m for the win after a perfect run prominent on the fence. He was very professional second-up after a positive debut effort in October and two positive trials leading into this run. The Show ran on well to finish a close second after a well-executed run one-off in midfield from a wide gate. The old-timer has been racing very well of late and can break through at any moment. Gunnar was on his tippy toes inside the 100m after straightening two lengths on top leading from gate five with the claim well utilised. He doesn't know how to produce a bad run sprinting over this course. Exceptional Desire gradually faded after stalking the leader in the run from a tricky gate. He's not far off a bottom. Golden Mission ran on steadily without menacing following a rail run in midfield. All Wongchoy came up one-paced when asked for an effort travelling effectively one-out, one-back. He's finding it tough carrying more weight.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (446) - WANG TAK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

GUNNAR shifted in on jumping and bumped VIGOR CHAMP which became badly unbalanced and shifted in, causing PERFECT HARMONY to lose ground when crowded between VIGOR CHAMP and ARES which on jumping was brushed by GOLDEN MISSION which shifted out.

GRACYLOVE began only fairly and then was steadied away from the heels of BETTER CHOICE which, after initially being taken out by ALL WONGCHOY, shifted out away from that horse.

From the outside barrier, LET'S GO PARTY was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.

Passing the 1000 Metres, VIGOR CHAMP got its head on the side and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of LET'S GO PARTY.

Passing the 900 Metres, THE SHOW momentarily raced tight inside COLONEL which got its head on the side and lay in.

Passing the 850 Metres, COLONEL was left racing wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of BETTER CHOICE and COLONEL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

ARES and THE SHOW were sent for sampling.
