Long-shot Super Power Man comfortably finished on top after leading from a wide gate. He was able to build on a positive debut effort from a similar draw on this surface and is open to further improvement. Zero Hedge kept on well for second after over-racing tracking the speed near the fence. He's racing well without winning. Outsider Dream Warriors came from last at the 200m following a sluggish start to fill a placing. He does know how to win races but the query was the 1,200m. Lady First ran on steadily to fill a Quartet spot after a deep run in midfield in his initial run on the dirt. It was another honest effort but he struggles to win. Coolceleb ran on well but left things too late making his run fourth from the rear. He's not far off a bottom and requires a stronger rider. Daily Beauty made some ground without menacing after making his run one from the back from a wide draw. It wasn't a bad effort after showing some scope in one of two earlier runs.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (430) - PO LAM HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

SO WE JOY began only fairly.

SUPER POWER MAN began awkwardly.

DREAM WARRIORS began only fairly and then despite being ridden along for a considerable distance in the early stages became detached from the main body of the field.

COOLCELEB shifted out at the start and bumped ISLAND WINNER which became unbalanced, shifted out and hampered ZERO HEDGE.

LADY FIRST shifted out at the start and bumped SKY TREASURE which became unbalanced.

UNDEFEATED shifted out at the start and bumped DAILY BEAUTY.

After this, DAILY BEAUTY was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

For some distance approaching the 800 Metres, ZERO HEDGE got its head up when racing keenly.

After this, ZERO HEDGE continued to race keenly and approaching the turn near the 700 Metres again got its head up when awkwardly placed inside the heels of UNDEFEATED.

ZERO HEDGE was again awkwardly placed inside the heels of UNDEFEATED near the 500 Metres.

Near the 300 Metres, COOLCELEB raced in restricted room when improving into tight running between LADY FIRST and SO WE JOY.

When questioned, H N Wong stated that he was able to obtain a forward position outside the lead in the early stages without having to make too much use of UNDEFEATED after that horse began awkwardly.

He said UNDEFEATED travelled well in the middle stages, however, came under pressure rounding the Home Turn and then at the entrance to the Straight made a significant breathing noise.

He said whilst UNDEFEATED made a minor breathing noise in the latter stages of its last start success, this was of no consequence and he had worked the horse since then and there had been no breathing issues.

He said he rode his mount along for a short distance in the early part of the Straight, however, UNDEFEATED did not respond and gave ground noticeably after the 300 Metres.

He added for this reason he eased the horse down over the latter stages of the race.

A veterinary inspection of UNDEFEATED immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.

Before being allowed to race again, UNDEFEATED will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of PARTY GENIUS and GOLDEN EFFORT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of SKY TREASURE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.

PARTY GENIUS, SUPER POWER MAN and ZERO HEDGE were sent for sampling.
