Recap by phillip woo

Odds-on favourite Golden Sixty won geared down after hitting the front 150m out following a patient ride third from the rear for an eighth win from nine starts. He's a rising star. More than This closed well to finish a clear-cut second after being ridden along early on to stay in touch at the rear. He takes a while to wind up but has a good turn of foot. Punted late, Champion's Way stuck on well for a placing after a wide and without cover run in a prominent spot. He's starting to recapture top form in his past two starts. Beauty Legacy got going late after racing fiercely early on travelling second from the back. He ran a bit flat second-up after an eye-catching debut win. Star Performance ran on steadily without menacing following a rails run in midfield. Long-time leader Buddies gave way when headed after straightening two lengths on top. He's clearly better on the dirt. Decrypt had no excuse following a box-seat run. This was too rich for his blood.

Approaching the 1300 Metres, GOLDEN SIXTY was awkwardly placed behind PLAYA DEL PUENTE.

Near the 1250 Metres, STAR PERFORMANCE got its head up when awkwardly placed behind DECRYPT.

For some distance after the 1100 Metres, BEAUTY LEGACY proved very difficult to settle and got its head up when awkwardly placed behind AWE.

BEAUTY LEGACY then shifted out away from the heels of AWE and continued to travel keenly as it was steadied to resume its position behind AWE.

MORE THAN THIS, which was following BEAUTY LEGACY, was shifted in away from the heels of that horse passing the 1000 Metres.

Passing the 500 Metres, AWE raced tight outside GOLDEN SIXTY as that horse shifted out to improve.

Passing the 350 Metres, BEAUTY LEGACY lay in and was reluctant to shift to the outside of GOLDEN SIXTY.

BEAUTY LEGACY then lay in under pressure approaching and passing the 200 Metres.

Approaching the 100 Metres, BEAUTY LEGACY, which continued to lay in, was checked away from the heels of MORE THAN THIS which, after initially being taken out by CHAMPION'S WAY (K Teetan), then shifted out away from that horse.

K Teetan was advised that whilst there were some circumstances to this incident, particularly the racing manners of BEAUTY LEGACY, nonetheless he was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he reacts quicker than he did on this occasion to his mount shifting ground.
