Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (344) - GIANT TREASURE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1600Meters
TELECOM ROCKET lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and began only fairly and then shifted in and brushed CHIU CHOW KID.
JOY MASTER began awkwardly.
From wide barriers, PARTY EVERYDAY, INVALUABLE and HURRICANE HUNTER were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the 1200 Metres, TELECOM ROCKET commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when awkwardly placed behind GALA NIGHT.
At the 300 Metres, JOY MASTER and MILLENNIUM DAWN bumped due to both horses shifting ground.
Near the 250 Metres, CHIU CHOW KID and HURRICANE HUNTER raced tight.
Near the 75 Metres, WITNESS HUNTER was steadied away from the heels of SONIC FIGHTER (N Callan) which shifted in under pressure.
N Callan was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in similar circumstances.
A veterinary inspection of PARTY EVERYDAY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
CHEERFUL LEADER, SONIC FIGHTER and TELECOM ROCKET were sent for sampling.

Punted late, Sonic Fighter won a thriller over the late-plunged Telecom Rocket after hitting the front 150m out following a one-off run in midfield. He's always a chance in this grade. Telecom Rocket started his move after shifting out behind midfield on the fence 600m out, drew nearly level passing the 150m and just failed in a ding-dong finish. Favourite Cheerful Leader found a couple too good after pulling level for the lead with Witness Hunter 200m out following a box-seat run. Witness Hunter was hampered close to home by the winner after taking the lead 350m out stalking the leader Smiling Success in the run. Off this run, he's likely close to a bottom. Gala Night stayed on all right following a handy run on the fence. It was a slightly better effort with a return to cheek pieces. Leap Of Faith came up one-paced after a prominent run with cover. He ran below par after making a good impression in his opening three starts.
