Recap by phillip woo
Magnetism responded well to take control 150m out after straightening with plenty in the tank following a perfectly executed ride one-off in fifth for a second win from his past three starts. Good Days defied a tough run in midfield to win a blanket finish for the minors. It was his best run in a while but he is well rated off his current mark. Firming favourite London Hall dived late after a patient ride second from the rear to just miss a quinella spot. He has been promising of late and can bob up at any moment. Above just lost a placing after peeling out three deep without cover to pressure the leader Murray's Partners 1,450m out following a box-seat run. It was a good effort despite the circumstances. Murray's Partners only lost a placing in the last 100m after dictating the run despite a sharp rise in trip. Villa Fionn got going without menacing from the rear of the field. It wasn't a bad run with a step-up in distance but he needs a faster tempo.
