Recap by phillip woo
Punted late Clement Legend got up in the dying stages following a one-off run in midfield to up his record to four wins from five starts over this Valley trip. He'll remain in the grade and can win another. Stimulation closed well one from the right after a patient ride second from the rear to make it close on the wire. Favourite Tashidelek was swamped in the shadows of the post after working to the lead 150m out following a deep run the entire trip outside the winner Clement Legend in midfield. Magnetism loomed a chance widest out after a patient ride at the rear of the field but came up flat 100m out. The trip was too far. Owners' Star kept grinding away along the inside after a prominent run. Like the latter, he didn't seem to get the trip and there's not much upside off his current mark following a 1,800m win in mid-October. Giant Turtle came up one-paced over the final 150m after improving wide and without cover to sit third at the 1,500m.
