Racing Incident Report
Race Ten: (198) - CHEVALIER PROPERTY INVESTMENT HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1400Meters
RACING FIGHTER stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost a considerable amount of ground.
Before being allowed to race again, RACING FIGHTER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
Just prior to the start being effected, LOBO'S LEGEND became fractious and then as the start was effected turned its head to the right and then on jumping reared abruptly and hit its head on the overhead partition, causing the horse to lose a significant amount of ground.
As the Stewards were satisfied that the difficulties experienced by LOBO'S LEGEND at the start were of its own making and the starting gate attendant, who was attending to LOBO'S LEGEND, was merely assisting the horse, they ruled that LOBO'S LEGEND must barrier trial satisfactorily before being permitted to race again.
A veterinary inspection of LOBO'S LEGEND immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
DRAGON GENERAL shifted in at the start and bumped HAPPY FUN which was crowded for room and lost ground.
After this, HAPPY FUN was ridden along for some distance to obtain a forward position and raced wide and without cover outside the lead.
From wide barriers, DRAGON GENERAL and YOO YOO KING were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the turn after the 900 Metres, MAGIC LEGEND got its head on the side and lay out and then hung out making the Home Turn.
MAGIC LEGEND continued to lay out under pressure in the Straight.
At the 400 Metres, RACING FIGHTER was shifted to the inside of KING OF HEARTS to obtain clear running.
Passing the 100 Metres, M F Poon (RACING FIGHTER) dropped his whip.
GOLDEN SIXTY and LUCKY HERO were sent for sampling.
GENERAL:
1.
After the running of Race 2, the track classification for the turf course was officially changed from "Good??to "Good to Firm?? This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.
As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 2 being run on a track rated "Good to Firm??

Additional Veterinary Reports from Happy Valley Racemeeting on 20 November 2019 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of KANBEKI MOLLY, EVERYONE'S ELITE, LORIZ, CONFUCIUS DAY, AMAZING STAR, ZERO HEDGE, INDIGENOUS STAR, RIGHTEOUS MATE, CASA DE FORCA, NABOO STAR, FOREVER BRIGHT, HARDLY SWEARS, JOYFUL UNION, YEE CHEONG BABY, MR LUMIERES, LOVING A BOOM, RELIABLE TEAM, CINQUANTE CINQ, SHINING ACE and AURORA PEGASUS revealed no apparent abnormality.

Rising star Golden Sixty came on nicely to win going away 100m out following a one-off run in midfield for a sixth win from seven starts as the odds-on favourite. Well-backed late Lucky Hero got up 50m out for second after pulling out for a clear run at the 300m following a prominent run on the fence. He's honest as the day is long. Beauty Rush kept on well for a placing after being hustled to lead from an awkward gate. A tactics change to lead produced a better result here. Happy Fun kept on all right to fill a Quartet spot after a speed-chasing run from a wide gate. He's more effective when allowed to bowl along in front. King Of Hearts ran on steadily without menacing following a midfield run on the fence. He's not quite good enough in this grade. Gold Chest blew up 100m out when looming a chance mid-straight following a one-out, one-back run. Yoo Yoo King made some ground down the outside after settling fifth last from the widest gate.
