Thanks Forever edged clear after overhauling Mr Lumieres stalking the speed for the front near the 200m to win in a class record time. This run proves he's not just a one-tricky pony up the straight 1,000m and he can head higher. California Whip made ground near the inside travelling fourth from the rear to grab second in deep stretch. Fat Turtle kept on rather one-paced sitting one off in third. He wasn't able to overcome a sharp rise in weight following a comfortable win last month. Mr Lumieres gave a cheeky sight in front despite strong sections to just hold Raging Storm for fourth. It was his best run to date around a bend despite a rise in class. Raging Storm ran on late after a patient ride second from the back. It was a more typical effort following a couple of unlucky runs. Ugly Warrior kept on all right after a handy run on the fence. Beauty Rush never let down from behind midfield. He'll need more time to acclimatise.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (146) - REVLON HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1200Meters

CALIFORNIA WHIP began awkwardly.

From the outside barrier, RAGING STORM was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.

After being ridden along for some distance in the early stages, TELECOM PUMA was steadied making the first turn to obtain cover when left racing wide.

Making the turn near the 900 Metres, UGLY WARRIOR got its head on the side and lay in despite the efforts of its rider, resulting in DAN CONTROL racing tight to the inside of UGLY WARRIOR.

After this, UGLY WARRIOR continued to lay in, resulting in DAN CONTROL being eased away from the heels of that horse passing the 850 Metres.

Passing the 700 Metres, TELECOM PUMA was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FAT TURTLE.

Passing the 300 Metres, HIGH FIVE was shifted to the outside of TELECOM PUMA to obtain clear running.

Approaching the 100 Metres, RAGING STORM raced tight outside CALIFORNIA WHIP which shifted out.

A veterinary inspection of SUNSET WATCH, DAN CONTROL and TELECOM PUMA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

FAT TURTLE, THANKS FOREVER and CALIFORNIA WHIP were sent for sampling.
