Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (130) - GUANGZHOU HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
TEAM FORTUNE began only fairly and then lost ground when crowded for room between SOLOMON'S BAY and STAR OF THEHARBOUR which got its head on the side and shifted in abruptly on jumping.
This resulted in TEAM FORTUNE racing back in the field.
STAR OF THEHARBOUR lost its left front plate at the start.
MOST BEAUTIFUL was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
From wide barriers, TOP MILITARY and MAGNIFICENT were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Near the 1100 Metres, MOST BEAUTIFUL, which was travelling keenly, was steadied when crowded for room between STAR OF THEHARBOUR and SILVER FIG (B Shinn) which shifted in when not properly clear.
B Shinn was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he provides proper clearance in similar circumstances.
After the 1000 Metres, MOST BEAUTIFUL, which was travelling keenly, improved its position to be racing inside the heels of SILVER FIG which shifted in, resulting in MOST BEAUTIFUL being steadied near the 800 Metres.
Passing the 300 Metres, TEAM FORTUNE raced tight inside the heels of STAR OF THEHARBOUR.
Approaching the 100 Metres, T H So (MAGNIFICENT) dropped his whip.
MAGNIFICENT was held up for clear running behind SOLOMON'S BAY near the 75 Metres and was shifted to the inside of that horse approaching the finishing line to obtain a run.
For the majority of the race, STAR OF THEHARBOUR travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of SILVER FIG and TEAM FORTUNE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MR WEALTH and AQUILA were sent for sampling.

On a speed-biased track, Mr Wealth was hustled to hold a prominent spot on the fence, peeled out soon after straightening and wore down favourite Aquila passing the 100m for the win. He's capable on his day and ran well fresh here after bleeding in March. Aquila wouldn't go down without a fight after assuming the lead from Just Not Listening 370m out following a speed-tracking role. It was a good run in defeat in his first appearance on the dirt. Just Not Listening faded to finish a distant third after getting his own way in front from a middle draw. He loves this surface but doesn't have much upside off his current mark. Mega Red got going to nearly place after saving ground behind midfield. He's not far off a bottom. Most Beautiful left things too late after making his run third from the rear. He's run with merit in back-to-back defeats on this surface but the Valley grass suits him better. Solomon's Bay made only a mild bid following a one-off run in midfield.
