Recap by phillip woo
Joy Master came on nicely from behind midfield to take control 150m out for a maiden win at his 18th start. He had put the writing on the wall and was suited by the step up to 1,800m. Le Panache closed well after being ridden for luck from a wide gate. He's a winner waiting to happen after catching the eye in his past two of three starts. Savvy Seven ended up third best after briefly poking his head in front at the 200m following a midfield run on the fence. Liverbird Star just held on for fourth after stalking the leader Reeve's Muntjac in the run from an outside gate. It was a better effort second-up here. Gold Velvet ran on steadily travelling one off in midfield. He's more effective at the Valley. Blazing Partners came up one-paced following a box-seat run. He's not far off a bottom and step up to a mile might be worth a try. Punted late Reeve's Muntjac faded after rolling to the front along the fence 1,150m out. It was a shade better run in Class Five.
