Race Six: (73) - MOUNT DAVIS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
AMAZING CHOCOLATE began awkwardly.
PLAY WISE shifted out at the start and bumped GOOD FIT.
From the outside barrier, THIS ONE'S FOR YOU was steadied soon after the start and shifted across behind runners.
Approaching the 1200 Metres, TOUCH OF LUCK was steadied when racing in restricted room between AMAZING CHOCOLATE and ENFOLDING which was inclined to lay in.
At the entrance to the Straight, PLAY WISE shifted out and raced tight with GOOD FIT.
Throughout the race, GOOD RUNNERS WAY travelled wide and without cover.
The performance of CASIMIRO, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, CASIMIRO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of CASIMIRO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of PLAY WISE and GRAND HARBOUR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GOOD RUNNERS WAY and ENFOLDING were sent for sampling.

Good Runners Way kept on gamely after hitting the front from Grand Harbour 250m out despite a deep run without cover the entire trip in a prominent spot. Enfolding finished well but was rather one-paced over the final 50m after a deep run with cover in midfield. He's placed in his past five starts and should be saluting shortly on either surface. Well-backed late This One's For You came from last and widest out to finish a close third. He does appear from a run once on each surface to have turned the corner this season. Good Fit stayed on well for fourth after his usual patient run second from the rear from a wide gate. He's still got some fight in those old legs. Touch Of Luck produced only a grinding result after a deep run with cover behind midfield. The big weight on the wet going went against him. Promise Kept was given every chance in the box-seat but knocked up 150m out. His stamina came into play with a step up to a mile here.
