Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (52) - NAM FUNG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1800Meters
ENJOYABLE SUCCESS was withdrawn on 24.9.19 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter FAITHFUL TRINITY.
Before being allowed to race again, ENJOYABLE SUCCESS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
As the start was effected, RIGHTEOUS MATE reared and lost ground.
Before being allowed to race again, RIGHTEOUS MATE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
From the wide barrier, SANGRIA was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After travelling a short distance, GARLIC YEAH, which was being ridden along, was steadied away from the heels of FAMILY LEADER which shifted out.
Approaching the 600 Metres, ENJOY LIFE was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SANGRIA (U Rispoli) which shifted in when not properly clear after improving from the rear of the field.
U Rispoli was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he provides sufficient clearance in similar circumstance.
Passing the 600 Metres, FAMILY LEADER (C Y Ho), which was following ENJOY LIFE, shifted out away from the heels of that horse and made contact with AMAZING AGILITY which shifted out marginally, causing GOOD DAYS to become unbalanced when checked away from the heels of AMAZING AGILITY.
C Y Ho was advised that whilst there were some circumstances to this incident, nonetheless he must ensure that he exercises due care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
Passing the 200 Metres, KING'S MAN raced tight inside FAITHFUL TRINITY when improving between that horse and POLYMER LUCK.
Passing the 150 Metres, SANGRIA and DREAM WARRIORS bumped due to both horses shifting ground.
DREAM WARRIORS then became unbalanced and lay in before being directed out to relieve the pressure to SANGRIA.
A veterinary inspection of FAMILY LEADER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
FAMILY LEADER, DREAM WARRIORS and SANGRIA were sent for sampling.

Dream Warriors edged clear after assuming the lead from Sangria 150m out following a perfect run in the box-seat to open his win account at start eight. Sangria kept on gamely after taking off from the back at the 800m to narrowly poke his head in front one-off from Polymer Luck passing the 600m. King's Man ran on steadily along the inside following a rail run behind midfield to fill a placing. He's a decent 1,800m performer but isn't a prolific winner. Family Leader stayed on to fill the frame without menacing following a prominent run. Faithful Trinity kept on all right travelling fore of midfield on the fence. He's kept up an even gallop in both starts this term but is likely on his mark. Such A Happiness ran on without menacing travelling one off behind midfield. He's more effective at Sha Tin. Well-punted Polymer Luck had no more inside the final 150m after rolling forward to lead 1,450m out from a wide gate. The 1,800m is too far.
