Recap by phillip woo
In a race run to suit, Helene Charisma came on nicely from the rear to grab victory near the 60m. He's taken a while to breakthrough but has now won three of his past seven and lived up to a solid effort 14-days back. Early favourite Tianchi Monster found one too good after finding the front 250m out following a handy run on the fence. Ruthven kept on well for a placing after getting his own way in front. He has been a disappointment but is well rated to start the campaign. Post-time favourite Green Luck came up flat over the last 150m after getting fanned wide rounding the final bend chasing the leaders in third. He wasn't able to defy the sharp rise in weight. Well-backed late Enrichment was yielding ground 300m out after rolling forward to stalk the leader 1,400m out. He did have to work too hard early on to track a genuine pace. Mr So And So never let down after making his run fore of midfield and one off the fence. He needed the run.
