Recap by phillip woo
Green Dispatch kept up a strong gallop to just get the victory after a nicely rated run in front by jockey Blake Shinn. He got all the favours but had put the writing on the wall at his final start last term. Speedy Wally rallied well from behind midfield to make it close on the wire. He relished a return to the Valley after a positive run on the weekend. C P Power charged nicely down the outside after a patient ride one from the back to finish only necks apart. He's competitively rated. Dream Warriors came up one-paced following a dream run. He likely needed the outing. Faithful Trinity came up flat following a oneout, one-back run. He's not genuine. Favourite Royal Racer made a mild bid near the outside after a one-off run in midfield. He's needed both starts this term and a longer trip may suit him better.
