Recap by phillip woo
Raging favourite Regency Legend won with something in hand after reclaiming the front near the 300m sitting one off from a middle gate to remain unbeaten in four starts. Seasons Bloom finished nicely to grab second 100m out after settling three deep travelling one from the back. He had been training well and will be looking forward to a longer trip. Jolly Banner closed well down the outside after settling third from the rear to grab a placing 50m out. He does usually go well fresh. Nibbled at late, Styling City had no more to offer inside the last 100m after working to the front 900m out. He's more effective over the straight 1,000m. Wishful Thinker just held his ground after a box-seat run. He needed the run and the big weight didn't help. Winner's Way found nothing after travelling last in the run. He's off his game. California Fortune was a non-factor in the drive after a one-out, one-back run for his new trainer.
