Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (791) - THE HILLTOP IN THE VALLEY 1200M HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
KHAKI was withdrawn on 6.7.19 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter KANBEKI MOLLY (K Teetan).
Before being allowed to race again, KHAKI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
SUPER LUCKY was slow to begin.
HAPPY HAPPY STAR shifted out at the start and bumped KANBEKI MOLLY.
When being steadied to obtain cover, MASTER GALAXY got its head up on a number of occasions passing the 800 Metres.
KANBEKI MOLLY was left racing wide and without cover after the 800 Metres and subsequently finished tailed out.
The performance of KANBEKI MOLLY was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, KANBEKI MOLLY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of KANBEKI MOLLY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Approaching the turn near the 700 Metres, BOND ELEGANCE shifted in of its own accord, bumped the inside running rail and became badly unbalanced.
Passing the 700 Metres, VIVA COUNCIL was left racing wide and without cover and making the turns got its head on the side and lay out.
HAPPY HAPPY STAR lay out rounding the Home Turn.
After the race, it was noted that MASTER GALAXY had lost its right front plate.
A veterinary inspection of BOND ELEGANCE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
COOLCELEB and GRAND HARBOUR were sent for sampling.

Favourite Coolceleb just ran down long-time leader Grand Harbour after being ridden along to travel behind midfield on the fence for a second win this term. He relished a return to his favourite AWT 1,200m. Late-plunged Grand Harbour just failed to salute after a well-rated run in front under 10-pound claimer Alfred Chan Ka-hei. The old-timer doesn't know how to run a bad race over this surface and trip. Well-backed Fame And Fortune made it close on the wire following a box-seat run. He's racing very well at the moment on this surface. Viva Council kept on reasonably well after a deep run better than midfield. He can bob up at any moment. Happy Happy Star was yielding ground over the last 100m after rolling forward from a wide gate to track the leader 650m out. It wasn't a bad effort following a stable change. Punted late Hearts Keeper made some ground without menacing after travelling fourth from the rear.
