Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Beauty Energy ran down Circuit Hassler 50m out after angling into the clear 300m out following a box-seat run for a second win from his past three starts. He's hit a nice patch of form. Well-backed Circuit Hassler wouldn't go down without a fight after a well rated run in front. The signs have been flashing of late. Punted late Happy Force kept plugging away without menacing after stalking the leader from a wide gate. He might have needed the run following a break. Amazing Satchmo got going late along the inside from the rear of the field to finish a non-threatening fourth. He remains in the handicapper's grasp after an early season win. Mongolian Legend ran on late without menacing travelling behind midfield on the fence after jumping poorly. He's not reliable. Unicornbaby made some ground late from near the back. He's still acclimatising and believe a mile or even 1,800m suits him better.

Racing Incident Report

Race Nine: (730) - LUNG MUN ROAD HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters

GREEN CARD was withdrawn on 7.6.19 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (right fore medial suspensory branch injury).

Before being allowed to race again, GREEN CARD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Just prior to the start being effected, MONGOLIAN LEGEND turned its head to the right and then was slow to begin.

MONGOLIAN LEGEND was then hampered by AMAZING SATCHMO which began only fairly and shifted in abruptly.

In this incident, AMAZING SATCHMO became unbalanced after receiving contact on the hindquarters from MONGOLIAN LEGEND.

HAPPY FORCE shifted out at the start and bumped STARSHIP.

Then from a wide barrier, STARSHIP was steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After shifting in when only just clear approaching the 1100 Metres, HAPPY FORCE was steadied by its rider, M L Yeung, resulting in COMFORT LIFE being very awkwardly placed behind HAPPY FORCE for some distance after the 1100 Metres.

M L Yeung was reprimanded and told that he must be fully clear when shifting ground and to ensure that horses which was trailing are not placed in an awkward position.

Then making the turn near the 900 Metres, COMFORT LIFE got its head up when awkwardly placed behind HAPPY FORCE.

Passing the 1100 Metres, BEAUTY ENERGY was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of COMFORT LIFE.

After the 300 Metres, AMAZING SATCHMO was shifted in away from the heels of MONGOLIAN LEGEND to obtain clear running.

Throughout the race, BOMBAY BLITZ travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of BOMBAY BLITZ immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, BOMBAY BLITZ will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of and COMFORT LIFE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

BEAUTY ENERGY and CIRCUIT HASSLER were sent for sampling.
