Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (691) - THE STANDARD CHARTERED CHAMPIONS & CHATER CUP - Class G1 - 2400Meters
TIME WARP shifted in at the start and bumped RISE HIGH.
After passing the winning post on the first occasion, HAPPY GRIN was left racing wide and without cover.
The performance of EAGLE WAY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, EAGLE WAY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of EAGLE WAY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
EXULTANT and RISE HIGH were sent for sampling.

Odds-on choice Exultant took control near the 100m after getting a terrific ride to settle one-out one-back to ring up a third Group One success this term. He's clearly the top stayer in town. Rise High came on strongly after switching into the clear 300m out from the rear to just deny Dark Dream for second. It was a terrific effort at his first try over this trip. Dark Dream stayed on well following a midfield run on the fence. He's proven effective over a range of distances in his first campaign and will be a force to be reckoned with next season. Pakistan Star came up flat 100m out after working to the front near the 200m following a dream run. He's just having trouble recapturing top form. Well-backed Glorious Forever faded in the run to the wire after assuming lead from Time Warp 300m out. Time Warp didn't stay the trip after getting a soft time in front. Eagle Way never came on from near the back. He's just not good enough at set weights over this trip.
