Plunged late, Thanks Forever drew clear after hitting the front 200m out tracking the short-priced favourite Voyage Warrior to remain unbeaten in two runs in a terrific training by John Moore after sitting out 350-days with leg issues and a nose bleed. Voyage Warrior had no answer when challenged at the 200m but still kept up a clear-cut second after leading from a low draw. The big weight on a wet track likely played against him. California Gungho kept plugging away chasing the leader to just hold Reel Bizzy to finish a distant third. He can produce an odd good run but might be better served in Class Four. Reel Bizzy kept plugging away following a prominent run to nearly place at huge odds in an improved performance. Goko only held his ground travelling better than midfield. He's likely on his mar following a win two back. Diamond King made some ground from near the back. The track may not have favoured the backmarkers.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (687) - WERTHER HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters

E GENERATION shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of SKYEY SUPREME which became unbalanced.

WAYFOONG VINNIE was steadied away from the heels of CLASSIC POSH on jumping when that horse shifted in.

Shortly after the start, THANKS FOREVER stumbled, shifted out and bumped BRAVERY AND POWER which then shifted out away from THANKS FOREVER and bumped REEL BIZZY.

After travelling a short distance, ORIONIDS was bumped by CALIFORNIA GUNGHO which was taken out by DIAMOND KING.

ORIONIDS lay out throughout the race.

The performances of SKYEY SUPREME and E GENERATION, both of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, SKYEY SUPREME and E GENERATION will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of E GENERATION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.

A veterinary inspection of VOYAGE WARRIOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

THANKS FOREVER and VOYAGE WARRIOR were sent for sampling.
