Plunged late Valiant Dream raced clear 60m out after switching to the centre of the track for a clear run at the 450m following a handy run near the stands side early on. He was fitter for a run and suited by a step back in distance. Even money favourite Aquila grudgingly gave way after pinging to the front from gate nine. It was a solid debut and he'll be saluting in no time. Marvelous World held his ground after sitting on the back of the leader. Like the winner, he enjoyed the step back in distance after a debut run with excuses. Sunshine Universe was rolling late from near the back to fill a Quartet spot. It was another honest effort over this trip. Newcomer Island Winner stuck on okay following a handy run. He'll certainly gain benefit from this run. Telecom Rocket made some ground late from behind midfield on the stands side. It was a better effort second-up.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (576) - CRYSTAL HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters

FARM BUMPER shifted out at the start and bumped TELECOM ROCKET.

VICTORY SONG began only fairly and then lost ground when crowded for room between GREAT FIT and CHARITYDREAM which shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider.

In this incident, GREAT FIT became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by VICTORY SONG and shifted out, resulting in BLISSFUL EIGHT losing ground when crowded out onto the hindquarters of OLD HAVANA which became unbalanced after being bumped by BLISSFUL EIGHT.

In the early stages, VICTORY SONG and BLISSFUL EIGHT were shifted across behind runners.

Despite being ridden along in the early stages, WINNING WAYS failed to muster speed.

After the 300 Metres, SUNSHINE UNIVERSE was shifted in away from the heels of GREAT FIT which, after racing tight outside WINNING WAYS, then shifted in under pressure.

VALIANT DREAM and AQUILA were sent for sampling.
