Raging favourite Champion's Way eventually got going to take control 50m out after being ridden along to hold a position one-off in midfield from a wide gate to remain unbeaten in five outings despite a rise in trip. He's destined for better things. Good Standing found one too smart in the end after moving to the front 250m out stalking the leader Kasi Farasi. He was able to shake off a last-start failure with blood in his trachea. Kasi Farasi gave a decent sight in front to hold a placing. He was able to step up off a light weight in this grade. Firming late in betting Superich ran on late from near last to just miss a placing. He might have more to offer if he sticks to sprinting over the 1,200m and 1,400m. Regency Bo Bo held his ground following a prominent run. He rarely produces a bad run over this trip. World Record ran on late without menacing from the rear of the field. He requires a faster pace and is likely on his mark.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eleven: (584) - TOPAZ HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1400Meters

On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie applied to KASI FARASI was replaced.

After being loaded into the barriers, SEERITE DRAGON reared and got its left front leg over into the adjoining stall occupied by KASI FARASI and became cast for some time.

KASI FARASI was removed from the barriers.

As SEERITE DRAGON was attempted to be removed from the barriers, JADE FORTUNE became fractious, reared and momentarily got its left front leg over into the adjoining stall.

JADE FORTUNE was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.

After a delay, SEERITE DRAGON was also removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was not suitable to race.

Acting on this advice, SEERITE DRAGON was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.

Before being allowed to race again, SEERITE DRAGO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

REGENCY BO BO began only fairly and then had to be ridden along for a considerable distance in the early stages to take up a more forward position.

JIMMU was crowded for room on jumping between SUPERICH and GOOD STANDING, both of which shifted ground.

In this incident, GOOD STANDING became badly unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by JIMMU.

After this, JIMMU and SUPERICH were shifted across behind runners.

JADE FORTUNE and BEAUTY SPIRIT bumped at the start.

KASI FARASI stumbled on jumping.

WORLD RECORD was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Passing the 1050 Metres, CHAMPION'S WAY shifted out away from the heels of REGENCY BO BO.

COBY BOY, which was racing outside and behind CHAMPION'S WAY, shifted out away from that horse in consequence.

Also passing the 1050 Metres, HINCHINLOVE was taken wider by BEAUTY ICON which shifted out from behind STAR SHINE.

For the majority of the race, COBY BOY travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of HINCHINLOVE, BEAUTY SPIRIT and BEAUTY ICON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

CHAMPION'S WAY and GOOD STANDING were sent for sampling.

After the running of Race 6, the track classification was officially changed from "Good??to "Good to Yielding?? This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.

As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 6 being run on a track rated "Good to Yielding??
