Recap by phillip woo
Raging favourite Aethero won geared down over the final 200m after stepping beautifully to lead 800m out on debut here. He gives you the feel of a real up-and-coming type. Winning Method found one too smart after showing gate speed to track the winner but was a clear-cut second. He's a nice sort heading forward and will eventually get his day in the sun. Sparkling Night stayed on a distant third sitting handy following an awkward start but like the rest of the field will need more time and experience. Shadow Breaker was grinding away to just miss a placing travelling midfield. Gala Night weakened after tracking the speed near the stands side. Rewarding Shine was never a factor after bombing the start. Chater King found nothing under pressure and gave up 150m out to finish last.
