Recap by phillip woo
Fresh off a break, Just Not Listening got away with a relatively easy time in front and never looked back to notch a third win from five sprints on the dirt this term. He's not easy to gun down if he gets his own way in front. Raging favourite Coby Oppa got up 100m out to finish a distant second after being put under pressure a long way out travelling third from the back. He has ability but is still a work in progress. Team Fortune kept on a nonthreatening third with every chance in the box-seat. He doesn't have much upside off his current mark but rarely produces a bad run sprinting on this surface. Home Run came on all right after being forced very wide on the final bend travelling second from the back. The 1,200m's too short. Harbour Alert kept on one-paced settling one-out, one-back. He's trying to find his mark. Encore Boy cost himself when nearly dropping to his knees at the start.
