Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Winner Supreme won geared down after straightening five lengths on top jumping brilliantly from a middle draw for a win each on both surfaces from only four starts. Dr Proactive came home a clear second following a box-seat run. He's capable of big runs but not genuine. Bond Elegance kept on one-paced over the last 100m for third following a prominent run. He's always a chance on this surface. Late-backed Junzi closed well to fill a Quartet spot after making his run fourth from the back. He doesn't appear from his past two, once on each surface, to be far off a bottom. Majestic Endeavour made ground without menacing from the second half of the field. He's better at a mile and preferably in Class Five. Alcazar found nothing in the drive after copping a check 850m travelling better than midfield on the fence. He didn't seem to enjoy the wet going.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (483) - KALANCHOE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

MAJESTIC ENDEAVOUR began only fairly and then was checked when crowded for room between ALCAZAR which shifted in and JUNZI which was taken out by DR PROACTIVE.

In this incident, ALCAZAR shifted out after being bumped by MAJESTIC ENDEAVOUR, resulting in the horse getting its head up when crowded for room inside BOND ELEGANCE which became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by ALCAZAR.

HAPPY COOPERATION was crowded for room on jumping between KIROV and BRAVE BABY which shifted out.

HAPPY COOPERATION and KIROV were then steadied to obtain a position closer to the rail.

Despite being ridden along in the early stages, BRAVE BABY took some time to muster speed.

Near the 1100 Metres, K C Ng (IRISH VEGA) adjusted his left foot in the stirrup iron.

Near the 900 Metres, ALCAZAR again got its head up when being steadied as a result of being crowded for room between BOND ELEGANCE which shifted in marginally and DR PROACTIVE (S de Sousa) which shifted out.

S de Sousa was advised to ensure that he is properly clear of other runners when shifting ground.

After the 700 Metres, HAPPY COOPERATION was left racing wide and without cover.

At the entrance to the Straight, JUNZI was shifted to the inside of IRISH VEGA to obtain clear running.

A veterinary inspection of BRAVE BABY, GRAND HARBOUR and ALCAZAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

WINNER SUPREME and DR PROACTIVE were sent for sampling.
