Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (423) - BLUE POOL HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
TORNADO TWIST was slow to begin.
AMBITIOUS HEART became fractious just prior to the start being effected, then began only fairly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of STARLIGHT which became unbalanced.
STARLIGHT then shifted in, resulting in AMBITIOUS HEART racing tight inside STARLIGHT.
CALIFORNIA ARCHER was crowded for room on jumping between FLAT HEAVEN which began awkwardly and SUMSTREETSUMWHERE which shifted in abruptly.
This resulted in CALIFORNIA ARCHER making heavy contact with FLAT HEAVEN, resulting in its rider, M Chadwick, becoming badly unbalanced and losing the use of his right stirrup iron for a short distance.
From a wide barrier, HARRIER JET was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the turn near the 1000 Metres, FLAT HEAVEN momentarily raced in restricted room inside STARLIGHT which got its head on the side and lay in.
Making the turn after the 1000 Metres, CALIFORNIA ARCHER and VICTORY MACHINE were left racing wide and without cover, resulting in both horses being ridden along to obtain a more forward position after the 800 Metres.
CALIFORNIA ARCHER continued to race wide and without cover throughout.
SUMSTREETSUMWHERE made the Home Turn awkwardly.
A veterinary inspection of CALIFORNIA ARCHER and HIGH FIVE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MUSIC ADDITION and HANDSOME BO BO were sent for sampling.
GENERAL:

The following horse was replated in the saddling stalls:- Race 4: ACCLAIMED LIGHT (right fore)
2.
Trainer T P Yung was fined $5,000 for being in breach of Stewards' Instruction 32 in that his stable strength exceeded the allowable number on 11 February 2019.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Sha Tin Racemeeting on 10 February 2019 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of M REBORN, RICHCITY FORTUNE, GREAT SON, PRINCE OF GEMS, MR CROISSANT, ENRICHMENT, SAVVY SIX, COBY OPPA, BORNTOACHIEVE, ROMANTIC CHEF, CHIU CHOW KID, FLASH FAMOUS, SUPER STAR, DIAMOND LEGEND, RAGING BLITZKRIEG, LEAN PERFECTION, MY DARLING, I AM POWER, SEVEN HEAVENS, NOBLE DE LOVE, SHIMMER AND SHINE, RIGHT CHOICE and GALLANT RETURN revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of DISTRICT EXPRESS, MASSIVE MOVE, WHISTLE UP, LUCKY SHINY DAY, SWEET BEAN, ENJOYABLE SUCCESS, SHINING ACE, SUNSHINE UNIVERSE, MULTIMAX, MULTIMILLION, BINGO, YICHUN BLITZ, CHAIRMAN LO, KA YING BRILLIANCE, HURRICANE HUNTER, GOOD FIT, REMARKABLE, TORNADO TWIST, BETTER CHOICE, TOP LAURELS, IMPERIAL CONCORDE, VOLPINO, TIANCHI MONSTER, MARZOUQ, GOOD STANDING and ENRICHMENT (2.2.19) proved negative.

Equal favourite Music Addition made the decision to track the leader Handsome Bo Bo after jumping alertly, reclaimed the front approaching the 150m and kept on gamely to make it two straight following a move to the Valley. Handsome Bo B just held on for second after leading from a wide gate. He makes his own luck in front which is always advantageous over this course. Harrier Jet came from near last to just grab second ahead of co-favourite Tornado Twist. He's likely on or near a bottom. Tornado Twist ran on reasonably well from behind midfield after a tardy break. It wasn't a bad run but he clearly prefers the longer straight at Sha Tin. Ambitious Heart stayed on reasonably well following a handy run on the fence. It was another honest effort but is on his mark after two earlier wins over this trip. Sumstreetsumwhere ran on late when the race was all but over. He requires 1,400m or even a mile.
