Favourite What Else But You raced clear at the 160m after bumping California Whip at the 250m following a move from near the back to ring up a sixth win from 16 starts. He was too smart with a return to Class One. Solar Patch came on well down the outside from the rear of the field to grab second 50m out. It was a terrific first run back from leg issues and he's clearly got points in hand. Plunged late Regency Bo Bo held on for third after getting his own way in front carrying a feather weight. He's always a chance if left alone up front. Morethanlucky stayed on without menacing in midfield after a tardy break. The start cost him. California Whip was already plodding when copping a bump from the winner approaching the 200m following a pace-stalking run. He's trying to find his mark. Jolly Banner had no excuse following a prominent run. The big weight with a step back up to the 1,400m was too much to handle but he's likely on his mark.
