Good Standing was too good after hitting the front 200m out travelling one-off better than midfield to open his win account at start eight. Odds-on choice Enrichment stayed on a non-threatening second chasing the leaders. He ran well in defeat but may need more fine tuning. Punted late, Time To Celebrate got going late from near the back to fill a placing. He had put the writing on the wall in his past two starts and a win is around the corner. Gold Chest came up one-paced following a prominent run on the fence. It was a much better run second-up with a rise in trip and move to a hood. Epic ran on steadily travelling behind midfield to pick up a pay slip in an encouraging debut. Sichuan Dar ran on all right sitting fourth from the back. He's not far off a bottom but the Valley mile suits him better. Mongolian King left things too late after being taken back from a wide gate. He's honest but may need a bit more relief in the handicaps.

Racing Incident Report

Race Ten: (393) - BEAS RIVER HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1600Meters

CIRCUIT NUMBER TWO began awkwardly, resulting in its rider, K Teetan, becoming unbalanced.

STIMULATION began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped HANG'S DECISION.

From the outside barriers, GORGEOUS KING, RIGHTEOUS DOCTRINE and MONGOLIAN KING were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After the 1100 Metres, HANG'S DECISION was left racing wide and without cover.

The performance of GORGEOUS KING, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, GORGEOUS KING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of GORGEOUS KING and CIRCUIT NUMBER TWO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

GOOD STANDING and ENRICHMENT were sent for sampling.

Trainer J Moore was fined the sum of $7,500 for breaching Track Work Regulations in that GREEN CARD (V126) had a cotton wool-like product applied under the bandages when that horse undertook its barrier trial in batch 1 on Thursday, 31 January 2019.

In assessing penalty, the Stewards took into consideration that Mr Moore was penalized for a similar breach of the Trackwork Regulations on 27 January 2019.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Happy Valley Racemeeting on 30 January 2019 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of SUNNY ORIENT, THE SHOW, HAPPY HAPPY, EXCEPTIONAL DESIRE, HAPPY COOPERATION, PLAY WISE, CHARITY WINGS, ALL YOU KNOW, CHAMPION'S WAY, VERY RICH MAN, ENCOURAGING, HAR HAR HEART, RED WARRIOR, CIRCUIT GLORY, MOST BEAUTIFUL, MOMENT OF POWER, NOBLE DELIGHT, COUNTRY STAR and TELECOM BROTHERS revealed no apparent abnormality.
