Recap by phillip woo
Raging favourite Regency Legend defied a big weight and sluggish start to run down Raging Blitzkrieg close to home travelling one-off in midfield to remain unbeaten in three starts. He'll remain a big chance up in grade off a light weight. Well-backed late, Raging Blitzkrieg hit the front 100m out after peeling into the open for a clear run approaching the 150m following a prominent run on the fence but found one better on the day. California Fortune weakened to finish a distant third after getting his own time in front. He might require a move to a five- or seven-pound claimer. Magic Legend peeled into the open at the 300m and finished well to just take fourth from Star Shine travelling third from the rear. He'll need to be kept safe if he finds his way into Class Three. Star Shine ran on well down the outside after a patient ride one from the back. It was a good effort first run back following inflammation to his lungs in October.
