In no hurry as the race changed complexion 700m out, Amazing Agility came from last at the head of the straight to take control 50m out for the win in a sit-and-sprint affair. Punted late, You Have My Word got up in the final few metres to grab second down the far outside straightening one from the back. He continues to race well over a range of distances. Post-time favourite Bring It On stayed on well to just out-bob Le Panache for third following a prominent run. He's a rather one-paced type and the sit-and-sprint went against him. Early favourite Le Panache grudgingly gave way after going from second last at the 650m to eventually lead at the 200m. He rarely produces a bad run. Tai Smart accelerated quickly at the 700m to go from last to first in 100m but was yielding ground inside the last 150m. He's better suited over the 1,800m. Class dropper Salto Olimpico tamely faded despite getting all favours in front. He's not racing well.

Race One: (366) - HUNG SHUI KIU HANDICAP - Class 4 - 2000Meters

After being bumped by YOU HAVE MY WORD, TAI SMART shifted out shortly after the start and made heavy contact with LE PANACHE which was steadied away from the heels of GOOD DAYS which also shifted in.

Passing the 700 Metres, LE PANACHE and TAI SMART bumped as both horses commenced to improve outside BRING IT ON.

Passing the 600 Metres, GOOD DAYS and LE PANACHE made contact.

TAI SMART got its head on the side and lay out rounding the Home Turn.

Passing the 400 Metres, GOOD DAYS raced in restricted room when improving into tight running between LE PANACHE and TAI SMART which continued to lay out.

Approaching the 150 Metres, YOU HAVE MY WORD shifted out, resulting in its rider changing his whip into his left hand.

After the 100 Metres, ROMANTIC JOURNEY was shifted to the inside of TAI SMART to obtain clear running.

Over the concluding stages, TAI SMART raced tight inside the hindquarters of LE PANACHE.

Close to the finishing line, GOOD DAYS was awkwardly placed behind LE PANACHE.
