Recap by phillip woo
Ho Ho Khan responded nicely when popped the question at the top of the straight to win going away 100m out for a third straight win. Helene Leadingstar kept on nicely for second after assuming the front at the 300m stalking Land Grant's fast pace. He's got ability and is naturally progressing with racing. Savvy Six finished well near the inside after being held up behind the tiring favourite Nicconi Express to just get up for third in his first run of the campaign. Mongolian King ran on steadily from behind midfield to just miss a placing. He's run well in three of four starts this term and can pop up at any moment. Nicconi Express peaked on his run 150m out settling one-out, one-back from a tricky gate. The rise in class and step up in distance took its toll o this occasion. Pikachu improved from midfield at the 600m to settle box-seat entering the straight. He can bob up at times but age may be getting the better of him.
