Recap by phillip woo
Favourite Smiling Pride peeled out rounding the final bend following a one-off run in midfield run and won going away 200m out. He was a class above the rest and can win again up in grade off a light weight. Gold Velvet kept plugging away chasing the leader Winwin Ruby to take second 50m out. He can bob up now and then for a minor cheque at this level. Management Star finished well travelling third from the rear after jumping slowly to just overhaul Winwin Ruby for a placing. Winwin Ruby grudgingly gave way after getting his own time in front. It was his best run in a long while. Godspeed was caught behind the tiring Winwin Ruby over the last 150m following a midfield run on the fence and should have finished a bit closer. Chiu Chow Kid came up flat inside the last 100m with his move following a one-off run behind midfield.
