Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (289) - MARS HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
As the start was effected, IRISH VEGA lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently missed the start.
After racing in restricted room between WARM THE VOICE and BANK ON RED soon after the start, ACCLAIMED LIGHT stumbled of its own accord.
RELENTLESS ME raced wide and without cover until approaching the 1100 Metres.
Passing the 500 Metres, RELENTLESS ME was steadied when momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of TOP LAURELS (K Teetan) which shifted in as it improved to the outside of RELENTLESS ME.
K Teetan was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care.
Approaching the 200 Metres, NITRO EXPRESS was checked when attempting to improve between FAITHFUL TRINITY and RELENTLESS ME where there was insufficient room.
After being checked, NITRO EXPRESS was directed to the outside of RELENTLESS ME to continue improving.
Passing the 100 Metres, BANK ON RED was momentarily awkwardly placed behind TOP LAURELS before shifting to the inside of that horse to obtain clear running.
Following the race, K C Leung reported that due to the solid pace in the early and middle stages, BEAUTY LOYAL failed to see out the 1650 Metres at the first time of asking in tonight's event.
A veterinary inspection of BEAUTY LOYAL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

HAPPY DRAGON and BANK ON RED were sent for sampling.

Happy Dragon won going away at the 100m with a move down the far outside following a midfield run on the fence. The success was overdue after several unlucky efforts and he can score another. Favourite Bank On Red was weaving a run late near the inside to overhaul Looking Good for second following a patient ride one-off behind midfield. Looking Good fought on gamely for a placing despite being pestered early on by Relentless Me and then headed by Top Laurels 700m out. On the back of this run, he might have the tools to hold his own in this grade at the bottom of the weights. Top Laurels peaked on his run 100m out after a mid-race move from behind midfield to lead at the 700m. He's itching to salute in his four starts and will be a force to be reckoned with from a better draw. Sumstreetsumwhere kept on okay following a one-off run in midfield. He's starting to get the hang of things but isn't anything special.
