Recap by phillip woo
Firming favourite Bring It On just wore down late-fancied Ishvara following a prominent run to prevail by a whisker. He got the victory this time but the 1,800m might better suit him. Ishvara did everything right but get the win after poking his head in front at the 200m chasing the leader Po Ching Treasure without cover. The old-timer can bob up now and then. Po Ching Treasure tried to steal another after a well-rated run in front but the 2,000m was a tad too far in the end. Prefer him over a shorter trip but he may be near his mark. Garlic Yeah only plodded following a box-seat run. He had no excuses and is still trying to find his mark. Happy Rocky stayed on well after a deep run without cover behind midfield the entire trip. It was a good effort on the back of an unsuitable pace and can pop up soon. Savvy Seven only held his ground following a midfield run on the fence. Wait for him to drop into Class Five.
