PENZANCE shifted in at the start, resulting in TRIUMPH being crowded for room and losing ground.
When being steadied to allow WEALTHY FORTUNE to cross after the 1800 Metres, COOL ARMY travelled keenly.
WEALTHY FORTUNE travelled keenly in the lead in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection of PEARL FURU immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
CLEMENT LEGEND and COOL ARMY were sent for sampling.

Raging favourite Clement Legend won eased down after hitting the front 300m out with a move 600m out following a patient ride at the rear of the field for a third straight win. He's racing very well and should be able to handle his own up in grade off a lighter weight. Cool Army just got up 20m out following a box-seat run to secure a Quinella spot. It was his best run to date with a rise in distance but he didn't finish ahead of much. Wealthy Fortune grudgingly gave way after travelling keenly in front to just hold third by a bob of heads over Penzance. It was a respectable effort but age is getting the better of him. Penzance kept grinding away following a prominent run. He had his chance. Triumph only beat the struggling Pearl Furu. He has not future. Pearl Furu was gone at the head of the straight tracking the pace. He's not genuine.
