Recap by phillip woo
Favourite Holy Unicorn led, shook off a brief challenge from Sweet Bean at the 900m and edge clear to notch a third win over the 1,800m this campaign from four starts. The step back in distance with the claim well utilised played an important role. Mi Blanco defied a deep run without cover fore of midfield to edge Little Fantasy for second. He's a winner waiting to happen on the dirt. Little Fantasy kept on gamely tracking the leader after an awkward break. He has been knocking on the door on both surfaces and can pop up at any moment. Proud Sky had every chance following a prominent run on the fence. He's just hasn't been able to turn it up another gear in his seven starts this term. Sweet Bean's move from the back at the 1,150m was short lived. This wasn't his day but he has been showing signs of returning to form in recent runs. Top Ace never ran on from the back. The race wasn't run to suit but he's likely on or near his mark after an earlier win.
