Recap by phillip woo

Newcomer Lakeshore Eagle did a few things wrong in the run but still got up 40m out for the win after switching outside the tiring leader All Great Friends approaching the 100m. He's still learning and has a bright future. Favourite E Master closed well from behind midfield to grab second in deep stretch. He's racing in good spirts since joining the Caspar Fownes camp. Punted late Dragon Dance wouldn't go down without a fight after hitting the front 100m out chasing the leader from a wide gate despite a return to Class Four. He's improved following a stable change and can salute shortly in this grade. Flying Monkey kept on all right following a box-seat run. He's not genuine. Jolly Bountiful left things too late travelling second last from a wide gate. He'll be a force to be reckoned with from a better draw. Golden Glory only plodded with two wider out upon straightening following a midfield run. He's proving a difficult one to get right in his four starts this term.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (214) - JEDBURGH HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

GALLANT RETURN was withdrawn on 27.11.18 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter ALL GREAT FRIENDS (Z Purton).

Before being allowed to race again, GALLANT RETURN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

WINNING CIRCLE and LAKESHORE EAGLE were slow to begin.

On jumping, LEVANTE stumbled badly, resulting in its rider, Apprentice H T Mo becoming badly unbalanced and LEVANTE losing a considerable amount of ground.

FLYING MONKEY and GOLDEN GLORY bumped at the start.

From the outside barrier, JOLLY BOUNTIFUL was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

Making the first turn, GOLDEN GLORY commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of LONDON CITY.

Near the 850 Metres, PAKISTAN BABY shifted in and bumped E MASTER which became unbalanced.

PAKISTAN BABY was left racing wide and without cover until after the 700 Metres.

Near the 100 Metres, FLYING MONKEY shifted out towards the heels of DRAGON DANCE, resulting in its rider, C Murray, having to stop riding and straighten his mount.

The performance of LEVANTE, which finished tailed out after racing detached from the field, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, LEVANTE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of LEVANTE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.

A veterinary inspection of GOLDEN GLORY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

LAKESHORE EAGLE and E MASTER were sent for sampling.
