Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (202) - CHEVALIER E & M ENGINEERING HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1600Meters
KEEP WINNING began awkwardly.
FANTASTIC SHOW began only fairly.
Shortly after the start, AMAZING AGILITY was awkwardly placed outside the heels of GOLD VELVET which shifted out.
Also shortly after the start, EVER LAUGH was crowded for room between GARLIC YEAH and PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT, both of which shifted ground.
In this incident, GARLIC YEAH became unbalanced and shifted in further after being bumped on the hindquarters by EVER LAUGH.
GARLIC YEAH continued to lay in passing the 1500 Metres as it remained unbalanced.
HEROIC GURU was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Passing the 1400 Metres, PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT and FULL OF CHANCES raced tight inside GOLD VELVET (G van Niekerk) which shifted in.
G van Niekerk was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
M Chadwick (PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT) dropped his right rein approaching the 200 Metres.
Close to the finishing line, MY WINNER and GOLD VELVET raced tight.
Throughout the race, FULL OF CHANCES travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of FULL OF CHANCES immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MY WINNER, ROMANTIC CHEF and SUNNY POWER were sent for sampling.

Early favourite Romantic Chef got away with soft sections in front from a wide gate to open his win account at start four. He was suited by the rise in trip after putting the writing on the wall last time out and there's clearly more upside to come. Sunny Power was not good enough after chasing the eventual winner one off in the run from a wide gate. He'll be winning shortly. Post-time favourite My Winner just got the bob down for third following a well-executed run travelling box-seat from a wide gate. He's racing well and can pop up at any moment. Gold Velvet stayed on all right following a handy run. He's more effective at the Valley. Ever Laugh ran on steadily late near the inside after settling fourth from the back. The pace went against him. Veteran Presidentparamount came up flat following a one-off run in midfield. He's trying to find a bottom. Punted late Jin Jin King came up one-paced following a handy run on the fence. He's still learning.
