Recap by phillip woo
Favourite Hot King Prawn just held on for the win after an uncontested lead to ring up a ninth win from 10 starts. He was able to lift at set weights and remains a key player in December's HK Sprint. Mr Stunning ran very well in defeat after getting posted without cover by Ivictory near the speed. He won't relinquish his HK Sprint title without a fight. Backed late, Beat The Clock closed nicely from midfield to fill a placing. It was a terrific effort first-up this term and he remains a force to be reckoned with in the sprint division. Winner's Way ran on reasonably well to add some spice to the Quartet after travelling third from the rear following a slow break. Fifty Fifty ran on without menacing following a midfield run. He's not quite good enough over the 1,200m at this level and the 1,400m might be a better distance. Ivictory tamely faded after chasing the speed. Off his past couple of runs, he appears to be a bit over-rated off his current mark.
