Ambitious Heart led and repelled a challenge by raging favourite Country Star over the last 100m despite opening up the fence to his rival upon straightening to land a betting move. Country Star just miss by a whisker chasing the speed. The 11-pound difference in the weights was the difference in the end. Happy Time kept on gamely to place at a price despite rolling forward out deep without cover. It was a vastly-improved effort following a gear change and hopefully this is a sign of better things to come. Double Valentine was one-paced following a prominent run. He had his chance and is likely on his mark. Punted late Super Leader ran on late to fill a Quartet spot following a deep run near the back from a wide gate. He's well rated off his current mark. Buoyant Boy only held his ground when asked for an effort travelling behind midfield on the fence. He's come up flat in both starts after ending last term with back-to-back wins.

Race Six: (178) - THE JAPAN RACING ASSOCIATION TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1200Meters

Shortly after the start, DOUBLE VALENTINE and CEREFINO bumped.

From wide barriers, DARING FIT and SUPER LEADER were shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.

Passing the winning post, HAPPY TIME was awkwardly placed inside the heels of AMBITIOUS HEART which shifted in under pressure.

In the Straight, SUPER LEADER lay in under pressure.

A veterinary inspection of CEREFINO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of DARING FIT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.

AMBITIOUS HEART and COUNTRY STAR were sent for sampling.
