Recap by phillip woo
Jade Fortune quickened nicely travelling behind midfield on the fence to overhaul the favourite Turin Redstar 50m out for an upset win. He was suited by the pace. Turin Redstar wouldn't go down without a fight after assuming the lead 200m out stalking Circuit Glory's genuine pace. It was a very good run in defeat and he'll be back in the winner's circle shortly. Super Turbo finished well to place after switching out from behind a wall of horses at the 150m following a patient run third from the rear. He's always a chance over this course. Sichuan Dar came up fourth best after fanning very wide rounding the final bend travelling one from the back. Time To Celebrate made headway late after settling last following a hampered start. It was an improved effort but he did get the pace to suit. Kingsfield found nothing when push came to shove following a one-out, one-back run. It was a below par effort but do prefer him over the Sha Tin 1,400m.
