Recap by phillip woo
Firming favourite Hot King Prawn edged clear from stablemate Ivictory at the 100m chasing the leader Fabulous One from a low draw. The advantage in the weights was the difference in the end but he's got a bright future. Ivictory came up one-paced over the last 100m after cruising to the lead at the 300m sitting outside the leader on the grandstand side. He lost nothing in defeat carrying top weight and will be hard to beat at set weights over the 1,200m. Jumbo Luck stayed on nicely on the far side in midfield to finish a distant third. It was a terrific effort behind a couple of exciting sprinters. Doctor Geoff made a good bid late after struggling to stay in touch early on. He's one to follow this season at 1,400m and further. Winner's Way ran on without menacing travelling midfield between runners. The 1,000m too sharp. Not Listenin'tome is beyond his better days.
