Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (50) - NAM FUNG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
NABOO STAR began very awkwardly, shifted in abruptly on jumping and bumped the hindquarters of BLITZING, causing BLITZING to become unbalanced and NABOO STAR to lose ground.
MAGIC POWER was slow to begin.
SPRING WIN lost its right front plate shortly after the start.
Passing the 1150 Metres, SPRING WIN was bumped and taken wider by BLITZING which was taken out by WINNING SUPREME.
Making the first turn near the 1050 Metres, NABOO STAR, which had been ridden along to obtain a more forward position, commenced to travel keenly and proved difficult to settle when racing in restricted room between LUCKY SHINY DAY and SPRING WIN which was being steadied to obtain cover behind BLITZING.
Despite being ridden along for a considerable distance in the early stages, BINGO was unable to clear runners to its inside and making the turn near the 1000 Metres was steadied to obtain a position with cover.
Near the 900 Metres, BINGO shifted in when awkwardly placed behind EVERBRAVE and bumped SPRING WIN.
COUNTRY STAR lay out making the turn after the 600 Metres.
Near the 25 Metres, COURT RULER was crowded for room between PEACE N PROSPERITY and LUCKY SHINY DAY (T H So) which shifted out.
T H So was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
For the majority of the race, EVERBRAVE travelled wide and without cover.
COUNTRY STAR and LOVE CHUNGHWA were sent for sampling.

Favourite Country Star took control 150m out to win with something in hand following a dream run fourth along the fence. He lived up to a solid first-up effort and there's more improvement to come. Love Chunghwa came on strongly travelling one from the back to spice up the Quinella. He's always a chance over this Valley trip. Blitzing stayed on well following handy run one off the fence. He's shown some potential in his four starts and isn't far off a winning run. Firming late in betting, Bingo ran on steadily travelling three deep with cover fore of midfield from a wide gate to make it close for third. Lucky Shiny Day made ground late near the inside settling fourth from the rear. He appears to be heading in the right direction now after ending last season on a positive note with a second over a mile on the dirt. Winning Supreme was stopping 100m out after getting softened in front by Peace N Prosperity. He's nothing special and needs his own way in front.
