Recap by phillip woo
Fiama got up 50m out after jumping well from a tricky gate to settle effectively one-out, one-back for a second win from seven starts. He's a progressive sort and can make his presence felt up in grade off a light weight. New Elegance stalked the leader Cloud Nine, assumed the lead 350m and just held off Namjong Plus for second. It was a return to form with a step up in distance. Namjong Plus finished well two from the right after a sluggish break travelling third last. He's a very productive first campaign and has room for further improvement. General Sherman made it close for the minors with a bold move late down the outside from his usual spot at the rear of the field. Good Days came up flat following a prominent run on the fence. He's covered a lot of mileage this term and may be looking forward to a break. A ball of sweat at the jump, late-plunged Cloud Nine folded 150m out after dictating the run. He's not good enough in this grade.
